1. What we collect

TimerToStudy is primarily a client-side web application. Most of your data never leaves your device:

• Your timer settings, notes, statistics, and quiz progress are stored only in your browser using localStorage.
• We do not require accounts, names, or email addresses to use the core features.
• We do not sell personal information.

Like most websites, certain technical information may be processed when you visit the site (for example, standard server logs or advertising-related data described below).

2. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on TimerToStudy. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

This helps us keep the tool free while covering hosting and development costs.

• Google may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited in order to show relevant ads.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for two main purposes:

• Essential / functional — to remember your timer preferences, notes, and session data in your browser.
• Advertising — cookies set by Google AdSense (and its partners) to deliver and measure ads.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking certain cookies may affect how ads are displayed, but the core timer functionality will continue to work.

4. Ambient sounds and other resources

Ambient sound files are hosted on our domain and are plain audio files with no tracking embedded. Your browser may send standard HTTP request information when loading these files.

We also load fonts (e.g. Google Fonts) for typography. These requests are limited to what is needed to display the page.

5. Your notes & local data

Everything you write in the Notes section (titles, content, reminders) and your session statistics are saved only in your browser’s localStorage.

If you clear your browser data or use private/incognito mode, these items will be lost. We have no server-side copies of your notes or progress.

6. Children’s privacy

TimerToStudy is intended for a general audience, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be highlighted when reasonable.
