Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 16, 2026
1. What we collect (spoiler: almost nothing)
TimerToStudy is a completely client-side web application. That means:
- We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not use tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, nothing).
- All your settings, notes, timer statistics, and quiz progress are stored only in your browser using
localStorage. - Nothing is ever sent to our servers or any third party.
2. Ambient sounds
The only external resources we load are the ambient sound files themselves (hosted on our domain). These are plain audio files — no tracking embedded, no metadata collection.
Your browser may send standard HTTP headers (like User-Agent) when fetching these files, but we do not log, store, or analyze them.
3. Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager
Although a Google tag snippet appears in the homepage source (for historical reasons or future optional use), it is not currently configured to send any events or pageviews. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and clearly announce it.
4. Third-party services
We currently use:
- Google Fonts (for typography) — no personal data is sent beyond standard font requests.
- Our own domain for audio assets.
No ad networks, no social plugins, no email marketing tools, no payment processors.
5. Your notes & local data
Everything you write in the Notes section (titles, content, reminders) is saved only in your browser's localStorage.
If you clear your browser data or use incognito/private mode, all notes and stats will be lost — we have no backups or access to them.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever add any feature that collects data (extremely unlikely), we will:
- Update this page immediately
- Show a clear in-app notice on first visit after the change
- Keep offering a fully private, no-data-collection version if possible
7. Contact
If you have any questions about privacy, feel free to reach out:
Thank you for trusting us with your focus time.
We take that trust very seriously.
